What happens When the election is stolen
A response to John Carter's essay on the same subject
I will return to Hackworth-posting soon, (part one linked here), as I believe that is a necessary project to introduce to this sphere, but this was a subject I thought worthy of addressing in the intermission. It’s taking me some time to put together the next essay in that series, as writing on the military tends to… distract me…
^Not mine, but all whiskeys/bourbons that I enjoy
Recently,
wrote an essay on what happens When the regime steals the upcoming election. Specifically, the essay asks, what is our game plan? Are all of our hopes riding on the shoulder’s of the toupee-man, or do we have some other cards up our sleeves. Even if the regime were to not steal the upcoming election, (which I also believe that they will do), what then? After all, as Mr. Carter points out…Anyone brazen enough to pull this one off is perfectly capable of doing the same thing again, regardless of who owns Twitter. I personally voted in the 2020 election on a military ballot, and like many, am listed as not having voted at all, (you can guess who I supported). In fact, I believe the regime is more likely to do it this time, as even more of their supporters are indifferent to the legality of stopping Trump, so long as they stop Trump. Regardless, the scenario is definitely one worth planning for.
For the sake of the argument we can also say, what happens if Trump wins? In all honestly, does this really do much for us? Well, possibly. It is possible that the Republican party adopts a more right-leaning-populist approach in the future, and more candidates like Trump become constant victims of lawfare. I don’t believe this will happen though. For starters, Trump himself has been steadily walking back some of his more right-leaning statements, most importantly on immigration. For another, while I don’t particularly despise J.D. Vance, I don’t think he’s got the stuff to replace Trump, nor do I think he has the right ideas to do so. But yes, it is possible that we get a more Hungarian or Polish style “right-wing” party in the country, in which case, I will support it hesitantly. I just don’t think it’s likely.
Now, this does leave the obvious possibility, civil war Scenario X. I do not want Scenario X, but like anyone who is wise, am prepared for it. If/When the election is stolen, I do not believe Trump will do anything differently than he did last time. Therefore, who is going to actually spark that powder-keg? The regime, (having had years of practice subduing Communist militants in Latin America), has gotten extremely good at putting down unwanted militant movements in its borders, and the ones it leaves open are all either Federally-run or laughing stocks or both. Right-Wingers are less psychologically suited to dissident-militia-underground-organizations because they generally want their country to run well, so they usually don’t go around sabotaging their own systems and allying with the poors. As a result, there is no Right-Wing organization to pull that trigger at all, let alone an American Caesar.
Where does this leave us?
I will be frank here. This is most likely the last election I will vote in. I’m really torn on whether or not to vote at all, but the way I see it there is a slight chance this one actually decides something. However, after this one of three things will happen:
Scenario 1: The Regime steals the election and Trump most likely is eliminated goes to jail and commits suicide or something. Then we never get even a populist party going and we’re on the road towards a Scenario X.
Scenario 2: Trump wins. If Trump wins and that doesn’t solve or reel in at least some of this, then there’s really no point in fucking around with elections in the future anyways, so it’s really just scenario 1 all over again. If he does, then perhaps we really will get the Eastern-European style MAGA, and that’s somewhat worth supporting.
Scenario X: Somehow someway this one finally pulls the plug, and if that happens then writing on politics and philosophy is just gonna have to go on the backburner for a bit. This is exceedingly unlikely.
Creating a plan on this basis
The most reasonable plan is simple:
When the regime steals the election, it’s time to stop pretending elections are legitimate at all. We’re all mostly there anyways, but there’s no point in making it easier for them to play Democracy. The best course of action is to adopt a “zero-seats” mentality with regards to National elections for the Republican party. This isn’t so much because they’ve completely betrayed us, (though they aren’t far off), as it is just the natural conclusion of living in what is, for all intents and purposes, a one-party state. Maybe another party will take up their mantle, as unlikely as that is, but until then we shouldn’t treat the controlled opposition as legitimate.
Now, I did specify National elections. Why only National? Simply put, you can make your state, or better yet your locality hostile to liberals. Ban their rituals, enforce measures to keep them out and make them uncomfortable wherever possible. However, this is only a delaying action, please don’t adopt a cabin-in-the-woods mentality about it. To put it simply, you’re drawing up the lines.
You can also take other political actions, so to speak. Keep up the writings, keep up the memetic warfare, keep publishing the good books etc. Just remember that any political efforts eventually translate into action in one form or another, and you have to keep that in mind, as unfortunate as it is.
This is not the best plan of action of course. In fact, it’s really more of a preparation for a plan than a plan. However, at the end of the day, we’re looking down the barrel of a gun, and you already know the hand will pull the trigger eventually. Therefore, one must at least attempt to push the barrel away. One must think on Scenario X, to do otherwise after another stolen election would simply be insanity.
The biggest question left is what does Scenario X look like? Are we looking at a Yarvinite-palace coup, or something much worse?
If you cast a vote for President in 2024 - already knowing/believing what you do - then I think you're going to find another set of bad reasons to vote in the Presidential elections in 2028. There will always be Hopium for sale as long as there's a market for it.
If we want a different outcome from the last 15 elections, we need a different strategy.
